DATA ARCHITECTURE AND PLATFORM FOR AN E-TAILER

THE CHALLENGE

Our client, a mid-sized e-commerce retailer with 10 years history, had a legacy technology infrastructure that was not geared for advanced analytics. They approached Tatras to help them transform their technology platform, and develop an analytics strategy plan across their data sets and business issues.

THE SOLUTION

Upon understanding the client’s datasets and business requirements, Tatras proposed a database architecture capable of handling myriad analytics requirements.

All the data was consolidated in a Central Data Store

  • Connectors were developed to pull data from Google and Bing marketing channels, Google Analytics, third party email marketing vendors, telephone calling systems, order management and content managements systems.
  • New systems were brought in to collect and store clickstream data.
  • Customer centric views of the data were created.
